open3d.geometry.subdivide_midpoint(input, number_of_iterations=1)

Function subdivide mesh using midpoint algorithm.

Parameters
  • input (open3d.geometry.TriangleMesh) – The input triangle mesh.

  • number_of_iterations (int, optional, default=1) – Number of iterations. A single iteration splits each triangle into four triangles that cover the same surface.

Returns

open3d.geometry.TriangleMesh
